Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: When will my photos be ready?
A: It typically takes between 2-4 weeks to process all the images from a wedding. All editing is done in house on an individual picture basis. We do not just send your files through a batch editing program. Each picture has its own retouching needs and is edited to reflect that.
Q: How long have you been shooting weddings?
A: I have been shooting weddings professionally for five years. I recently joined PPA (Professional Photographers of America) to further my expertise in candidly capturing weddings.
Q: Are there any additional fees associated with any of the packages?
A: No. The prices you see are the prices you pay.
Q: Do you offer bridal portrait sessions or engagement sessions?
A: Yes. Most of our packages include at least one of these sessions, they are typically done 1-3 months before the wedding date and last about an hour. You will recieve a disk with all the images from the day.
Q: What type of equipment do you use?
A: We own over $6000 in the latest professional camera gear from Nikon. This equipment allows us to make beautiful images in low light situations that wouldn't be possible with lesser equipment.
Q: What if your equipment malfunctions during a wedding?
A: We have duplicate camera bodies, lenses, batteries, and memory cards incase anything should happen to our primary set.
Q: What happens if you get sick or cannot make a wedding date?
A: Although this has never happened in the 5+ years I have been photographing weddings, you will be notified as soon as possible if something might happen. I am a part of a professional network that allows me to appoint another professional photographer in place of me should something happen. This way you can still be guaranteed quality images on your wedding day.
Q: What is required to book our wedding date?
A: All that is required is a non-refundable $500 deposit and a signed copy of the wedding contract. The deposit goes toward the final payment of the wedding package, which is due a month before the wedding date. Please contact us if you would like to schedule a meeting.
Q: We are looking for traditional posed wedding photography. Do you offer it?
A: No. While we love meeting the needs of all wedding couples, our photography is candid and photojournalistic in nature. We will not stop people or break up the action to ask people to pose for an image. We feel that capturing real smiles, emotions, and moments is much more important than taking the same posed photograph over and over again.
Q: So you don't do any posed photography? We would like some portraits of our family after the ceremony.
A: While the vast majority of our photography is candid in nature, we do still feel that taking some basic traditional portraits after the ceremony is important. We typically take 15-30 minutes to take these images, then get back to the fun!
Q: How long do you stay at the wedding?
A: All of my packages include at least 6 hours of photography. This starts from the time I arrive at the location, until I leave. For longer wedding days we offer packages that have no time limit. If things are running behind we do offer additional hours of photography at $150/hr. I will always check in with you one last time before I leave to see if there are any additional images you want.
